Position: Frontline Engineer – Shift Incharge

Job Description
During Project phase -
Review and provide comments on ECH P&IDs.
Review and provide comments on Glycerin Purification Unit (GPU) P&IDs.
Review and provide comments on Vendor Package P&IDs.
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for vendor packages (HCL, incinerator, ADU etc.).
Develop SOPs for ECH plant (Sector-C/D/E & F) and GPU based on the instructions in the operating manual (Approx. 150 SOPs for all sections).
Prepare the status of equipment erection and plan for further process activities.
Prepare a site observation report for further correction and improvement.
Checking the piping at site & markup in P&IDs based on the completion of piping.
Plan & execute water flushing, pneumatic and hydro-testing of piping and equipment with mechanical contractor.
Plan and conduct area wise plant operation training for DCS engineers.
Plan and conduct area wise field operation training for field operators.
Conduct safety training for engineers and operators to raise awareness about Epichlorohydrin and its intermediates.
Prepare the control and trend group for the Distributed Control System (DCS).
Review & comments on DCS graphics and Prepare a critical tag list for defining alarms.
Prepare for and participate in the Distributed Control System (DCS) Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
Plan shift activities based on the schedule for pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks.
Participate in the pre-commissioning of utility systems
Participate in the pre-commissioning of HCL Unit & Incinerator.
Participate in the pre-commissioning of Sector-C & Sector-D.
Participate in the pre-commissioning of Sector-E & F.
Participate in the chemical cleaning with pure ECH for Sector-E.
During Plant Operations -
Provide training for the ECH plant operation and troubleshooting.
Responsible for monitoring of shift operations of ECH plant to achieve monthly production target with following the safety guide lines.
Maintaining operational efficiency, close monitoring & control the process.
Prepared Daily production report, abnormality report and other reports
Co-ordination with CA team and other plant team during the plant tripping/ troubleshooting.
Suggest process improvements and safety enhancements during plant operations.
To address the abnormality, follow up with the mechanical, instrument, and electrical departments.
Maintain discipline, handle grievances, and motivate staff, workmen, and subordinates, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
